【性状】本品为白色结晶或结晶性粉末；无臭，味苦；有引湿性；遇光易变质。在水中易溶，在乙醇中溶解，在丙酮中微溶，在三氯甲烷或乙醚中不溶。
【药理作用】酚磺乙胺能增加血小板数量，并增强其聚集性和粘附力，促进血小板释放凝血活性物质，缩短凝血时间，加速血块收缩。此外，尚有增强毛细血管抵抗力、降低其通透性、减少血液渗出等作用。本品止血作用迅速，静注后1h作用达高峰，药效可维持4~6h。
【适用症】用于各种出血，如内脏出血、鼻出血及手术后出血等
【用法与用量】肌内、静脉注射：一次量，马、牛1.25~2.5g，羊、猪0.25~0.5g.
【注意事项】预防外科手术出血，应在术前15~30min用药。
