乙酰胺别名醋酰胺，分子式是CH3CONH2，乙酰胺化学合成工艺主要是醋酸和氨脱水，也可以由乙酰氯、乙酐或乙酸乙酯和氨作用而得。
乙酸中的羟基被氨基取代而生成的化合物。分子式CH3CONH2 。无色晶体。熔点82.3℃，沸点221.2℃，相对密度0.9986（85/4℃）。溶于水和乙醇。极纯的乙酰胺没有气味，商品乙酰胺有臭味，这是含有少量杂质的缘故。具有酰胺的一般性质。工业上乙酰胺是由乙酸铵150～200℃加热失水制备。广泛用作有机物和无机物的溶剂。具有微弱碱性，可做清漆、炸药和化妆品的抗酸剂。还可作染色的润湿剂、塑料的增塑剂，也是制造药物和杀菌剂的原料。乙酰胺氯化或溴化生成的N-卤代乙酰胺，是有机合成的卤化试剂。
乙酰胺有多种用途，在化工、塑料、染料、医药、农药等行业应用广泛。
