用途
1.紫外线吸收剂。主要用于防晒类和晒黑类化妆品，对光和空气的化学性稳定，对皮肤安全，还具有在皮肤上成膜的能力。能有效地吸收U．V．B区域280-320μm 中波光线区域)的紫外线。添加量通常为4%左右。

2.本品为局部麻醉，用于创伤面、溃疡面及痔疮等止痒止痛，使用浓度5%~20%。也用作药物合成和有机合成中间体。

苯唑卡因是一种脂溶性表面麻醉剂，与其它几种局麻药如利多卡因、地卡因等相比，其作用强度较小，因而在作用于粘膜时不会因麻醉作用而使人感到不适。它是一种脂溶性较强的药物，故而易与粘膜或皮肤的脂层结合，但不易透过而进人体内产生毒性。
