用途
利尿药，可降低血压，有利尿作用，常与其它降压药合并使用。主要适用于心原性水肿、肝原性水肿和肾性水肿：如肾病综合征、急性肾小球肾炎、慢性肾功能衰竭以及肾上腺皮质激素与雌激素过多引起的水肿；高血压；尿崩症。长期应用时宜适当补充钾盐。

氢氯噻嗪为利尿药、抗高血压药。主要适用于心原性水肿、肝原性水肿和肾性水肿：如肾病综合征、急性肾小球肾炎、慢性肾功能衰竭以及肾上腺皮质激素与雌激素过多引起的水肿；高血压；尿崩症。长期应用时宜适当补充钾盐。

国际国内大型赛事中，氢氯噻嗪等利尿剂是重要检测对象。这种药品本身不具备兴奋作用，但用此类药物能加大尿液的排出量，可在赛前减轻体重或稀释尿液中的违禁药物，因此也被列入禁用目录之内。
