氧化聚乙烯蜡乳液应用于水性油墨、水性上光油、 农业、皮革、鞋油、林业、木业、园林业、水性涂料、水性漆、 纸制品黏合剂、纺织物柔软剂及耐水整理等领域。
氧化聚乙烯蜡乳液性能特点：
氧化聚乙烯蜡乳液任意比例水稀释不分层、 不破乳、不结块、抗酸、抗碱、耐硬水、水溶性强、乳液稳定，保质期长、固含量高、分散性好，氧化聚乙烯蜡乳液有很好的抗划伤、防水、抗粘防污、耐磨、柔软、表面润滑等的性能。
高密度聚乙烯蜡是非离子型平滑剂，能给予平滑效果，可对纤维表面进行塑化，从而明显提高纤维的耐磨性。在筒子纱上试用，高密度聚乙烯蜡可改良抗断裂力，伸长率及摩擦系数，使用后可给予筒子纱及针织布带来下列优点；
对于筒子纱
•倒筒时减少断头现象，可提高倒筒效率
•其平滑性使筒子纱在织机上减少断纱次数，提高织布效率以及布料质量
对于针织布
•改善裁剪性能
•改善缝纫性能
•提高耐磨性
如使用氨基硅柔软剂来提高其平滑性能，可能导致纱线和物料的内聚力降低，因而导致抗断裂能力降低
