将N-β-羟乙基乙二胺和乙醇混合液放入固定床反应器中，通入一定量的氢气，在催化剂的作用下，控制反应温度在200℃，压力3.5MPa下进行反应，N乙基哌嗪收率可达62%，反应液在精馏塔内，常压精馏24小时，在155℃左右得到的馏分即为N-乙基哌嗪。 [4]
