1.纯品为带有光泽的白色柔软小片。
2.微溶于冷水，溶于酒精、丙酮，易溶于苯、氯仿、乙醚、四氯化碳、二硫化碳、醋酸戊酯和甲苯等。无毒。
3. 存在于烤烟烟叶、白肋烟烟叶、香料烟烟叶、烟气中。
4. 是组成硬脂精的脂肪酸。
毒性:无毒
溶解情况:不溶于水(20℃时，100毫升水中只溶解0.00029g)。稍溶于冷乙醇。溶于丙酮、苯、乙醚、氯仿、四氯化碳、二氧化硫、三氯甲烷、热乙醇、甲苯、醋酸戊酯等。
硬脂酸英文名:Stearic Acid-829本品系从动、植物油脂中得到的固体脂肪酸，主要成分为硬脂酸(C18H36O2)与棕榈酸(C16H32O2)。

1. pure white soft sheet with luster.
2. slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in alcohol, acetone, soluble in benzene, chloroform, ether, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, amyl acetate and toluene and so on. Non-toxic。
3. in flue-cured tobacco leaves, burley tobacco leaves, aromatic tobacco, tobacco leaves, smoke.
4. is composed of stearic acid fatty acid.
Toxicity: non-toxic
Dissolution: insoluble in water (at 20 degrees centigrade, only 100 ml of water dissolved 0.00029g). Slightly soluble in cold ethanol. Soluble in acetone, benzene, ethyl ether, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, sulfur dioxide, chloroform, hot ethanol, toluene, amyl acetate and so on.
