60mmol的1-己烯与20mmol的甲硼烷在THF中首先制成三己基硼的溶液。连接计氮计。冰盐浴冷却，搅拌下于20min加入重氮丙酮20mmol溶于15mLTHF的溶液，保持反应液温度在20℃。此时有90%的以上的氮气放出。室温搅拌反应30min。再回流30min，以使氮气放出完全。冰浴冷却。加入3mol/L的氢氧化钾20mL。室温搅拌2h，倒入冰水中，戊烷提取（60mL×3）。气相色谱分析证明含89%2-壬铜和少量的1-己醇。干燥后蒸出溶剂，得1.86g2-壬酮，收率65%。 [2]

GB 2760--1996规定为允许使用的食用香料。用作溶剂、有机合成中间体。也用于制备香料。
