酮康唑为类白色结晶性粉末；无臭，无味。本品在氯仿中易溶，在甲醇中溶解，在乙醇中微溶，在水中几乎不溶。熔点本品的熔点为146℃。
用途: 酮康唑为咪唑类抗真菌药，其作用机制为抑制真菌细胞膜麦角甾醇的生物合成，影响细胞膜的通透性，抑制其生长。酮康唑可用于治疗浅表和深部真菌病，如皮肤和指甲癣、阴道白色念珠菌病、胃肠真菌感染等，以及由白色念珠菌、类球孢子菌、组织胞浆菌等引起的全身感染
适应症：全身真菌感染，如全身念珠菌病、副球孢子菌病、组织胞浆菌病、球孢子菌病、芽生菌病。
由皮真菌和（或）酵母菌引起的皮肤、毛发和指（趾）的感染（皮真菌病、甲癣、念珠菌性甲周炎、花斑癣、头皮糠疹癣性毛囊炎及慢性皮肤粘膜念珠菌病等），当局部治疗无效或由于感染部位、面积及深度等因素无法用药时，可用该品治疗。
应用局部治疗无效的慢性、复发性阴道念珠菌病。
用于预防治疗因免疫机能降低（遗传性及由疾病或药物引起）而易发真菌感染的患者。
用法用量：一般感染的用量：1日200mg，顿服，在餐间服用吸收最好。直至症状消失，微生物培养结果阴性为止。通常疗程：真菌性口炎10日；皮肤和毛发真菌病1～2个月；曲菌病和全身白色念珠菌病1～2个月；类球孢子菌病和组织胞浆菌病2～6个月；球孢子菌病、甲癣和慢性粘膜皮肤白色念珠菌病可长达6～12个月。当疗效不好时也可加倍量，即1日400mg，顿服：阴道白色念珠菌病：1次400mg，1日2次，连用5日。儿童用量：1～4岁每日50mg；5～12岁每日100mg。前列腺癌：1日量为800～1200mg 。
